Why the Mediterranean is Perfect for Your Next Cruise

I just got back from a Mediterranean Cruise a few months ago, and I have to tell you that it is one of the best trips I’ve ever taken.  A ten-day cruise with a few extra days tagged on to explore Rome allowed me to check off countless items on my bucket list, I tried some of the best food I’ve ever tasted, saw some of the most beautiful landscapes, experienced different cultures, immersed myself in art and history, and had the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life.

Cruise vacations are wonderful for lots of reasons, but one especially comes to mind when thinking about the Mediterranean- You are able to visit multiple destinations while comfortably traveling on your floating all-inclusive resort.  No unpacking and packing multiple times, no time crunches to catch the next train or taxi, and no stress – just relaxing.   Mediterranean itineraries can be very port intensive, so relaxing in the evenings is very important.  In the two weeks of our trip we visited four countries, including two beautiful Greek Islands and numerous historically significant areas.

There are many different cruise lines that offer varying itineraries for the Mediterranean.  Some of the itineraries include destinations in Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, and Turkey.  There is truly an itinerary for everyone that will provide that once in a lifetime trip experience.

As for me, my family and I created amazing memories together, I found out where I want to revisit, and I’m currently saving up for an espresso machine because no coffee drink satisfies me anymore.
